A county in the north west of England, Merseyside is home to the vibrant and exciting city of Liverpool and takes its name from the River Mersey. Transport Information

Merseyside has an impressive massive transport network that includes major motorways including the M6, M53, M57, and M68. The A580 and A41 also pass through the county as do many other major road-channels, which provide convenience and ease for those using ground transportation. Liverpool has its own Rapid Transit system while Liverpool John Lennon Airport is one of the busiest international airports in the country. The Merseyrail network has a number of stations including Southport Railway Station, Liverpool Lime Street Railway Station and St. Helens Central Railway Station. The Port of Liverpool is one of the many major sea-ports along the Irish Sea, offering another mode of transport in the county.
