Farragut Square provides a great green space, and in the center you will find a statue of David G. Farragut, a Union admiral in the American Civil War. Admiral Farragut was made famous by his rallying cry, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!" He was the first Admiral in the Navy. Dining options near Farragut Square include Basil Thyme which is an Italian food truck where you can grab some tasty food, Surfside Truck which serves Mexican cuisine and Red Hook Lobster Pound where the fresh seafood never disappoints.
