There are two options for flying in and out of Istanbul. The nearest major airport is Atatürk International Airport. The second choice is Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, which has international and domestic flights and is 48 km from Istanbul, Turkey. There are three bridges crossing the Bosphorus, which connect Asian Istanbul to European Istanbul. The main Turkish train station is situated on the Asian side of Istanbul. This station is the starting travel point to destinations in Turkey. Public transportation in Istanbul includes city bus, Metro, tram, funicular, tunnel and ferry.
